Anastasis.org: Solutions for the Opioid Crisis
It is time for the nation to rise up in righteous indignation against the opioid crisis. If we do not have the moral fitness to stand up against this evil, then perhaps we do not deserve God’s blessing or survival as a nation. If you believe every human life is sacred, if you believe in faith, hope and love, then please consider helping us.
Our Mission at Anastasis.org
At Anastasis.org, we believe that every individual has the power to rise up and make a difference in the face of crisis. Inspired by the Greek word “anastasis,” meaning “to rise, or stand up,” our organization is dedicated to addressing the opioid epidemic with love, hope, and a commitment to deploying all available resources to alleviate suffering.
We recognize that the opioid crisis is a pressing issue that requires a collective response. As individuals with moral agency, we cannot abdicate our responsibility to act. Instead, we must work together to support those affected by addiction and provide them with the tools they need to overcome it.
Our mission is twofold:
- To invest in technology that can help save lives during opioid overdoses, providing a lifeline to those in crisis.
- To partner with spiritual organizations that can help individuals develop the spiritual strength they need to permanently reject the evil of opioid addiction.
We believe that by working together, we can honor God’s greatest gift – the gift of life – and make a meaningful impact in the lives of those affected by the opioid epidemic.
How You Can Help:

75-80% of current opioid users were prescribed opioids prior to becoming addicts. There is national culpability in terms of this problem, especially from pharma and the medical community, but also from government agencies and a profit seeking economy. But it is not about the blame or guilt now. We’re past that. Now is time to step up and do the right thing.
Since 2021, the USA has sent $175+ million per day to Ukraine. No matter how one assesses that geopolitical crisis, it is implausible to argue that it should rank higher than a crisis that has cost us more lives than WWI & WWII combined.
Our “First Focus” target investment is seeking $30 million in total funding. So this amounts to about FOUR HOURS worth of Ukraine funding. With that money, it could make a significant contribution to dramatically cutting national opioid deaths. Why has it not been fully emergency funded??? Good question.
Our Goals and Impact
Anastasis.org is driven by a set of clear goals aimed at tackling the opioid crisis head-on. We believe, due to the incredible addictiveness of opioids a multifactor solution is required. We believe in using technology because in the immediate as well as longer term recovery period, it is the best way to keep users alive. Additionally, we believe in the healing power of Christ because Christ is for us and for life. Studies clearly document that recovering addicts who embark on a genuine faith journey are 5x more likely to succeed. As a matter of prioritization, our “First Focus” will be on technology. We need to keep users alive as a starting point. Through these and subsequent efforts, we aim to reduce opioid dependency and improve the quality of life for individuals and families affected by this crisis.
The Most Urgent Need
First Focus
We operate under the theory, that when it comes to opioid users, it is hard to save dead people. We need to keep people alive long enough, even if they are still “using” so as to move them onto recovery. This is a long process.
To that end, our first focus, will involve dedicating most of our resources to funding Resilient Lifesciences efforts to develope a wearable device to detect and reverse opioid overdoses.
